A recent college grad named Dora finds an unlikely opportunity to escape her mother's critical eye when she moves to upstate New York to care for her Great Aunt Vera, who has just broken her foot. There, the wealthy widow and Dora slowly forge an unlikely bond, which is helped along by a discovery of journals that Vera had kept hidden away.
